What was it that made you think your girlfriends cheating on you? Has she been out later than usual with lame excuses that make no sense? Unexplained 3 hour long trips to the grocery store every few days? We tend to get suspicious of people who are acting suspicious.
The odd thing about cheating is that while you are doing it you try to act as normal as possible, as if nothing has happened. However when you have to try to act normal to cover up a lie you are not aware of how blatantly different you act. This works in your favor to catch a cheating girlfriend.

This tactic is less popular now because it is the most obvious. This is the opposite of acting over the top. Rather than extreme actions there are little to no actions.
Your girlfriend used to talk your ear off about how her day was, her likes and dislikes and any thing else that came to mind. Suddenly she is quiet around you and tries to avoid being too close with you. She may even pulled back on physical contact.
As obvious as this is some cheaters still use this tactic. This is a form of reverse psychology. Cheating is so obvious in this scenario that it almost seems like no one would possibly be that transparent or obvious about it. Surprisingly this does happen quite a bit.
Hiding Messages
Snatching her cell phone away when you try to look at it. Deleting all her email messages and web history. Ways of keeping contacts private are very suspicious. Some one with nothing to hide would not have a problem with their boyfriend knowing who they were communicating with.
If you check her cell phone history for 4 days straight and the messages are always deleted beware. Your average person does not delete their phone history every time they get a call. If this happens a lot its a good indication that she is not being faithful.
Finding a lot of unexplainable numbers is a fairly easy way to catch a girlfriend cheating. Be strategic about it. You do not want to look like you are checking up on her. Try to pay attention to when she does not erase the history. That would be solid evidence.
Above all this the fact that you sensed something was wrong is a good indication that your girlfriends cheating or at least acting very odd. You do not necessarily have to see her in the act to catch a cheating girlfriend. Unless your friends and family all know you to be paranoid you probably would not suspect her for no reason.
